Night at the Museum
JOIN US ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 17TH FROM 6 TO 8 PM FOR OUR ANNUAL NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM – STUDENT SHOWCASE & OPEN HOUSE!
Come learn what our students have been working on this summer, get a guided tour of our outdoor displays and get a behind-the-scenes look into our collections storage with our Collections Manager.
The museum will be open by donation, and we will have updates on our renewal plans and our Digital Museum of Canada exhibit on the history of skiing in Rossland.
Tyler will be highlighting and showing off the Rossland Miner, one of his primary sources of information in our archive. He will have several editions of the paper out for visitors to explore!
Gabe has been working diligently this summer to help us digitize some of our mine level maps and our negative collection! He will be highlighting some of the maps that he has been digitizing and talking about the digitization process.
Kestra has been with us since last fall and has held a variety of positions, but primarily she has been helping out in the archive! Join her for a behind the scenes tour of our archive (rarely shown) and hear about her work in helping us process and organize the archive.
We will also have outdoor historical tours of the property at 6 pm and 7 pm (space limited – book ahead!).
Entry by donation
