Music in the Park: Ron Halliday Band and the Gabriel Palatchi Trio
This week, the Trail & District Arts Council is very excited to present Ron Halliday Band and the Gabriel Palatchi Trio on July 11 in Gyro Park for Kootenay Savings Music in the Park.
Join Argentinian pianist and composer Gabriel Palatchi and his trio for an eclectic musical journey with his original blend of genres such as Latin jazz, tango, funk, and world music influences. Gabriel’s musical journey has seen him captivating audiences around the globe as one of the hottest contemporary names in the global Latin-jazz, Afro-Cuban and tango-jazz scene.
He has released several critically acclaimed albums, and his album “Trivolution” was selected as the Gold Medal Winner in the Composer/Album categories at the World Music Awards in 2015, and was featured in the “Emerging Artists” section of BILLBOARD MAGAZINE.
With a magnetic stage presence and an infectious passion for his art, Gabriel’s live performances are breathtaking. His charismatic energy captivates audiences and his music finds inspiration in the diverse cultures, landscapes and people he encounters traveling the world. Gabriel creates a rich tapestry of sounds that reflect these myriad influences.
